One Boy’s Journey So Far

Kyol, from Werris Creek, NSW would not have received a secondary education that connected his talents and determination without a scholarship to board at Scots College, Sydney. 

In 2008 at the beginning of his third year at Scots College he received an inaugural Podmore Scholarship and Podmore contributed $25,000 over the next four years to assist Yalari with his school fees and also to give him recognition and encouragement, including the award of the inaugural Professor Mick Dodson and General Peter Cosgrove Scholarship for Leadership.

In December 2011, Kyol graduated and received a scholarship to St Andrews College, Sydney University.Column 2/4[/twocol_one_last]

 

He will be Returning Opportunity in 2012 by mentoring other Indigenous boys at Scots College.
